I know I've been a slacker this last week. Things have been crazy what with this mandatory overtime thing (hello six hours in a week!) and training and one girl on leave. And on top of that, I have been trying to do at least one wedding related thing a day so I can feel a little more on top of things. I feel like I have gotten a lot done, I just feel overwhelmed at how much there is still to do. I am a details person, so sometimes I get a little caught up in the specifics, so this may be boring, but I am the writer so I will write what I want! (ugh! here we go, bridezilla coming out!)
Date
Yes, we have set the date. It will be Saturday July 11, 2009. Otherwise known as the most hectic/wonderful/stressful/happy day of my life. Scott will just breeze through. He will be tired, but not stressed. He just handles these things better than I do. A general outline of events will be as follows. Friday at noon I will be taking out my endowments at the Idaho Falls Temple. Friday evening we will have a small barbeque so the families can get to know one another. Saturday morning we will be sealed in the temple, after that we will do pictures on temple grounds and have a luncheon in Idaho Falls with a short but sweet ring exchange before we eat (since his family are not able to attend the actual sealing) and then will travel down to Pocatello. We will set up the reception, and do reception pictures the hour before the reception starts at 7 pm. At precisely 9 pm we will leave the reception and drive to Boise which is where we will be flying out of the next morning at (gasp) 7 am. We are flying to Mexico to honeymoon in Cabo for a week (everyone pray this whole swine flu thing is gone by then!).
I have my dress, and it is currently undergoing the alteration process to make it fit just right. I have shoes and necklace but am undecided about bracelet and earrings. Mom is making my veil and garter, and I am borrowing a hoop skirt from a friend.
Other plans are coming along slowly but surely. Jesslyn and I will be making some of the decorations this week, I already have sent off for my passport and have been shopping around for flowers and backdrops and the like. I have a friend doing my hair and another friend doing my cake. Things are definitely coming together, but it is a slow process, for sure.
More details to come later, after I figure them out that is...
