There are two types of people in this world. Exhibitionists and rubberneckers.
I am so enthralled with this world and its mini culture of blogging. How amazing that people are willing to write personal things about their daily lives and put them up so that anyone and everyone can see them! Closeted exhibitionists finally have a forum to display the things we think are important, while the rubberneckers can quietly "look" around the neighborhood and see all the little details that they were wondering about people they know without looking too nosy.
Hey, I admit it. I am an exhibitionist. I think my life is interesting and notable enough to write about it. Plus I love writing.
My mother is a rubbernecker. Unwilling to have her own post, she simply looks up people she knows and reads all their blogs. (the cat is out of the bag mom, you are caught red handed!)
The amazing thing is, no matter what you are looking for, you can usually find some sort of blog that tells that story.
There are mommy blogs and political blogs and engagement blogs and who knows what else! And then there are blogs like mine. Simple everyday happenings that I think are funny or cute or sad. But I am not writing so that other people can keep up on my life. I am writing because it is enjoyable and cathartic and therapeutic. I am writing so that I can remember the funny little things in my life, the things that were important to me or made me laugh or cry or whatever. And if other people enjoy what I write, that is just a strawberry on top. (because I don't like cherries)
Check out these blogs! They are for sure some of my favorites! Happy blogging everyone!
