I thought that even with the rain on Saturday, Easter weekend was beautiful. I was driving over to Scott's house and saw the most beautifully brilliant rainbow right over east Idaho Falls. It was so amazing, the whole arc was visible, and there was a second lighter rainbow right next to it.
Scotland was so wonderful as to change out my winter tires for my summer tires on Saturday morning. What a surprise, I heard a noise out my back door, and when I walked outside he was rolling a tire up to my car, already half done with the job. Afterwards, he put the hubcaps on and went back to his house to work on his motorcycle. I headed over to his house to drop him off a tool, and on my way, I heard some guy yelling at me from the street. I turned around and drove back to him.
You just lost a hubcap! It is back there!
He said pointing down the road. I thanked him profusely and proceeded down the street to where he had indicated. Another gentleman walked out from his lawn holding two hubcaps. He handed them over to me through the window of my car.
That was the craziest thing! Both hubcaps popped off at the same time and rolled into my yard, landing one on top of the other! I think somebody has been messing with them!
I just smiled, and thanked him as well. I drove the mile to Scott's house and when he came up to the passenger side of the car he frowned and asked me if I had taken the hubcaps off. I assured him that I had not, and asked him which side the hubcaps that were resting on the floor of my car went to. He cringed and told me that it looked like I was missing all four. Oh dear. So the search for the other two hubcaps commenced, and both of us were able to find one each. Disaster averted!
On Sunday we went to the Bates house for dinner and watched in amusement as the only grandchild, Emmett, was directed to find various eggs and presents in the front yard. At only one and a half, he was rather confused by the activities. Poor kid, six different adults yelling directions at once, crayons, sandals, books and plastic eggs spread all over the yard and every time you try to open something or play with something for a second you are told no. *chuckle* That kid didn't know which end was up. Perhaps next year will be a little more fun for him. I swear the whole time he looked like he was about to cry...
All in all, it was a pretty fun weekend. I did a little cleaning and spent some time outside and with my boy so I am happy. And it really feels like spring might finally be here...
